Quick Energy for Busy Days
Ever have one of those days where you’re rushing from one thing to the next—and suddenly it hits you... you’re starving?
Maybe it’s between back-to-back work calls, just before school pick-up, or halfway through your afternoon errands with no lunch in sight.
Instead of grabbing something sugary (and dealing with the crash later), here’s your new go-to Quick Energy Bites.
These little gems are packed with protein, healthy fats, and fibre—so you actually feel energized, not jittery or flat an hour later. No baking required, super easy to throw together, and bonus: they’re kid-approved if your little one loves “helping” in the kitchen.
Quick Energy Bites - 12 bites
Ingredients:
● 1 cup rolled oats
● ½ cup almond butter (or your fave nut butter)
● ⅓ cup honey or maple syrup
● ¼ cup dark chocolate chips (optional… but let’s be real, chocolate is always a yes)
● 2 tbsp chia seeds
● ½ tsp vanilla extract
● Pinch of sea salt
Method:
Mix everything together in a bowl until combined.
Roll into 1-inch balls (tip: slightly damp hands make this easier!).
Chill on a lined tray in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Heads up: You will want to double this batch. These go quick!
Perfect for:
✔ A snack between meetings or during the school run hustle
✔ A quick energy boost before a workout
✔ Satisfying that sweet craving—without the crash
Try them out and let me know if they become a regular in your snack stash. You deserve snacks that fuel you, not drain you.
